Who We Are
The Belize Real Estate Association (BREA) represents the full breadth of the industry — brokers, sales associates, developers, attorneys, surveyors, appraisers, and the many professionals whose work shapes how Belize buys, sells, and builds. With members across every district — from Belize City to Cayo, Ambergris Caye to Placencia — BREA is the largest and most complete real estate body the country has ever had.
The Founding of BREA
BREA was formed in 2026 through the merger of two organizations that had each represented Belize’s real estate industry since their founding in 2006: the Association of Real Estate Brokers of Belize (AREBB) and the Belize National Association of Realtors (BNAR). After twenty years of parallel work advancing standards, advocacy, and professionalism across the industry, the two associations came together to form one national body — consolidating two decades of experience and credibility into a single, unified voice for real estate in Belize.

Real estate is one of Belize’s most important economic engines, and one of the most personal decisions a person will ever make. BREA exists to ensure the industry operates on one clear, national standard — so buyers, sellers, and investors always know they’re working with a qualified, ethical professional, no matter where in Belize they are.

Interim Board
BREA’s transition is being guided by an Interim Board, drawn from the leadership of both legacy associations, which will oversee integration and governance until the membership elects BREA’s first permanent Board of Directors at the Association’s inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for November 2026.
